On behalf of Seiken Karate I would like to welcome your child to the club and provide you with some information about our activities.
The club provides opportunities for young people from 5 years +.
All coaching is carried out by qualified coaches who are trained and have been screened for their suitability for working with young people.
We welcome parents to all training, grading’s and any club events and we value your support.
We appreciate it if children can arrive promptly and are collected promptly at the end of the session, if they are not making their own way home. If they are not being collected by yourself we ask you to inform the class instructor at the start of the session. If you are going to be late picking your child up, please contact your instructor.
Club training kit consists of a white karate suit & sparring gloves, which we advise that your child have within the first 4 weeks of starting karate. These can be purchased via the shop section of the club website www.seikensports.co.uk or you are welcome to source yourself.
The cost of each training term is outlined at the start of each term in advance, which is typically a 12 week term. Occasionally the club will offer additional training opportunities, such as holiday camps and weekend sessions.
To practice any martial art you must have a licence issued by the Governing Body, which gives you a record or your grading’s passed and any courses attended. The club has an annual licence fee of £30.00 for the first year and £25 thereafter.
New students must obtain a licence within 4 weeks of training, this can be purchased via the shop on the club website
Lessons are £6 per lesson payable in advance per term. Your first trial lesson is FREE.
Please see the below lesson information and click the BOOK LESSONS button to register for your free trial session, after your trial lesson you will then be able to register for the remaining lessons in the term should you wish.
